The FACS 8 class just finished up a hand-sewing unit. They learned various stitches and for their final project, they all got to pick what they wanted to sew to show off what they learned. They did so great!

On February 13th, students from Mrs. T's Transitions class helped Twyla from Market on Main, the grocery store in Osakis, deliver flowers to Galeon residents on February 13th, to celebrate Valentine's Day. These students have been working at Market on Main since January 21st. They go there every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to work, as a part of a transition program that teaches these students skills necessary for employment after high school. When Twyla, the owner, asked if these students would like to help deliver flowers to the residents for Valentine's Day, they said they'd love to. It was an exciting and joyful experience for everybody.

Today, we celebrated 100 days of school. As you can see, those 100 days really took its toll on some of the staff.
Our Osakis Spelling Bee Champion 5th grader Lucy Dahlheimer competed in the Regional competition today in Fergus Falls. Although Lucy didn't qualify for the state competition, she persevered against some tough competition. Congratulations, Lucy!

The Silverstreak Special Olympic team competed at Staples-Motley yesterday. The smiles on everyone's faces say it all. It was a great day! Be sure to check out the slam dunk with some help from big brother ;) Way to go team and coaches!

Two students received Certification in Microsoft Office after excelling through TestOut Office Pro. For students to receive certification, they complete an exam that tests their ability to perform essential tasks in Microsoft Office productivity applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Congratulations to Brooke and Isabel!
