Two hundred and twenty-six students in grades 7 - 12 were recognized this morning for achieving honor roll status for Quarters 1, 2, or 3. All of these students had an opportunity to have a caramel roll and juice with peers who have also placed a high priority on academic achievement. There was a lot of positive energy in the cafeteria, and it was fun to see the students smiling and visiting with each other. Rolls were purchased from AJ's Cafe with grant money from the Silverstreak Foundation!

Osakis Public School selects Louisa Glenetske as next superintendent

Osakis, MN – March 31, 2026- The Osakis School Board has selected Louisa Glenetske as the district’s next superintendent. Mrs. Glenetske currently serves as the superintendent at Brandon-Evansville School District.

“Mrs. Glenetske has the experience and expertise in the areas our district was specifically looking for. We were clear on our leadership profile of finding a superintendent who exemplifies effective leadership, strong communication skills, demonstrates a collaborative approach, possesses applicable curriculum and instruction experience, and is a strong financial leader. Our board believes we have found that person in Louisa Glenetske” said Board Chair Michael Collins.

Glenetske was selected from a pool of 5 finalists based on criteria established by the school board, as well as input provided by the Osakis Public Schools staff. She will begin her role in the district on July 1, 2026.
